Danny McCubbin left a successful seventeenyear career with chef and compaigner Jamie Oliver to move to a remote town in Sicily to launch a community kitchen. Every week Danny rescues surplus food from supermarkets and then puts that food to good use, cooking for vulnerable townspeople and delivering meals to the elderly.
Danny Provides recipes from The Good Kitchen that stay true to the rich Sicilian food tradition while also being adaptable according to the ingredients avaible. Danny Shares the pivotal elements of his journey - the life lessons, the human connections, and the food and recipes behind it all since opening the Kitchen´s doors in July, 2021.
